Attaching the sensor

Attaching the sensor correctly is important in order to get the clearest signal from your drum into Sensory Percussion.

  1. Plug in the sensor using standard XLR cable (not XLR-to-1/4th cable, which can’t carry phantom power)

  2. Turn phantom power on (An LED on the bottom of the sensor will light up.)

  3. Firmly attach the sensor so that the head is directly over the pickup element. The LED should shine behind the pickup element (not on top of it).

tip

The sensor will attach to standard drum rims, but flanged rims or S-hoops may cause it to point drastically up or down, which will cause problems with the software. Check out Problems attaching the sensor for solutions.
